Search for text inside files across directories, with path filters and live content preview.
1. Installing
To install the package from PyPI, follow the instructions below:
With pip
pip install --upgrade search_file_content
Execute which search-file-content to see where it was installed, probably in /home/USERNAME/.local/bin/search-file-content.
With pipx (recommended for desktop applications)
pipx install search_file_content
If you need to upgrade later: pipx upgrade search_file_content
Using
To start, use the command below:
search-file-content
