smsctl is a CLI for streamlined SMS management. It provides commands for managing projects, devices, tasks, groups, and chat records, letting you send, receive, and track SMS from one place. Designed for flexible workflows, it handles everything from bulk tasks to conversation monitoring.

smsctl

smsctl is a command-line tool designed for managing and automating SMS tasks, devices, projects, groups, chat/conversation records, and more. The CLI is flexible, allowing for quick integration into your workflows.

Features

  • Management For Device: List and allocate devices to projects or groups, register new devices, etc.
  • Management For Project & Group: Create, list, update, or delete projects and groups.
  • Management For Task: Create, list, upload/download task files, and manage SMS record history.
  • Management For Conversation: View, list, and reply to chat logs across different projects.

Installation

Install smsctl from PyPI using:

pip install smsctl

Below is a revised Installation section with the function reference but without showing its full implementation details:

However, before using the CLI for the first time, you should configure the base URL endpoint by running:

smsctl config --url "https://your-custom-endpoint.com/api/v1/"

This command will store the service endpoint URL in a local JSON configuration file, ensuring smsctl knows where to send requests.

Configuration saved with URL: https://your-custom-endpoint.com/api/v1/

Now you’re all set to use smsctl. To see the list of available commands and options:

smsctl --help This will provide the smsctl command-line interface.

Usage: smscli [OPTIONS] COMMAND [ARGS]...

### Quick Usage

After installation, run:

smsctl --help


This displays available commands and options. You can also check individual commands:

smsctl --help

    •   -p, --page: Page number for the listing. Defaults to 1.

Examples

List all devices on page 2:

smsctl list-device --page 2

Create a new project:

smsctl create-project --project-name "MyNewProject"

Allocate device 101 to project 10:

smsctl allocate-device-to-project --device-id 101 --project-id 10

Create a new task:

smsctl create-task \
  --sub-user-id 5 \
  --file /path/to/tasks/data.json \

Reply to chat log #200:
