soorma-core — retired
This package is no longer developed.
Versions up to 0.9.1 were the MIT-licensed implementation of the DisCo (Distributed Cognition) architecture, built between December 2025 and April 2026. That work has been retired rather than continued: the soorma.ai platform was rebuilt from scratch against a different architecture, and this package name is not part of it.
Where things went
- Server-side platform — https://github.com/soorma-ai/soorma-core, source-available under FSL-1.1-ALv2. It shares no code with this package.
- Client SDKs — https://github.com/soorma-ai/soorma-sdk, Apache 2.0.
If you depend on this
Nothing is being removed. Every version up to 0.9.1 remains installable and remains MIT-licensed — pin one of them:
soorma-core==0.9.1
This release carries no functionality. It exists only to correct this page, which previously described the project as an open source foundation for AI agents. That description is no longer accurate.
