Requires Python 3.11–3.14, a desktop environment and a supported system keyring.
With uv:
uv tool install startlive
startlive
uv tool upgrade startlive
With pip:
python -m pip install startlive
startlive
python -m pip install --upgrade startlive
The startlive command works from any directory. Use startlive --help for
options and startlive --version to check the installed version. Python package
installations use uv/pip for updates. On Windows, configuration and logs are
stored under %LOCALAPPDATA%/StartLive; account credentials remain in the
system keyring.
Maintainers: see the PyPI publishing guide.
Supported Linux installations are managed and updated through the system package manager. The in-app Velopack updater is disabled on Linux, so Velopack does not need to be installed separately.
