Tamcoder
Tamcoder is the TypeScript coding-agent runtime for TamfisGPT. This Python package is a lightweight PyPI shim that downloads and installs the official, pre-built Linux x86_64 release.
Install
pip install tamcoder
Requirements
- Python 3.10+
- Linux x86_64
- Node.js 22 or newer at
/usr/bin/node
What the shim does
On first run, the package fetches the current release metadata from https://gpt.tamfitronics.com/tamcoder/latest.json, downloads the matching tarball, verifies its SHA-256 checksum, and installs the Tamcoder CLI into ~/.local/share/tamcoder/releases/<version>/. A symlink is created in ~/.local/bin/tamcoder (and tamcoder-bin) so the command is available on $PATH.
Usage
tamcoder --version
tamcoder update
Tamcoder opens a full-screen terminal workspace for project work. See the upstream page for full documentation: https://gpt.tamfitronics.com/tamcoder.
Privacy note
The tamcoder command checks the public release version at startup. No workspace, session, or account data is sent. Set TAMCODER_UPDATE_CHECK=0 to disable this.
