🛠️ Installation

Python users

Install from PyPI using Pip:

pip install thormotion

Then import the package at the top of your python file:

import thormotion

Rust users

Run the following Cargo command in your project directory:

cargo add thormotion

Or add Thormotion to your Cargo.toml file:

thormotion = "*" # Check for the latest version on crates.io

Thormotion implements the Thorlabs APT communication protocol. For full details, please refer to the APT protocol documentation.

🪵 Logging

Thormotion uses the log crate to record information at runtime. This lightweight logging API is compatible with a variety of backends, allowing users to select the most appropriate logging implementation for their use case.

Level	Description
trace	The raw bytes sent and received
debug	Low-level activity common to all device types
info	High-level activity specific to each device
warn	Issues that do not preclude the request
error	Issues that terminate the application
