torchfits
FITS I/O for PyTorch: read and write FITS as tensors and tables — cutouts, predicate filters, and a shell CLI (C++ engine, vendored CFITSIO).
Prebuilt binary wheels for Python 3.10–3.14 on PyTorch 2.13.x (the wheel ABI lane) — Linux (x86_64, aarch64) and macOS (Apple Silicon arm64), with vendored CFITSIO.

Install
pip install torchfits
Prebuilt wheels decode FITS on the host, then device="cuda" / "mps" copies the tensor onto the GPU when those runtimes are available. For CPU-only installs, custom CUDA builds, or other PyTorch versions, see the Installation guide.
