This is a toy project. If you are looking for a production-ready library, beartype would be a good choice!
A library for runtime type-level assignability check.
Development
Install the locked development environment with uv sync --dev. The supported local entry
points are:
just checkruns Ruff, Pyrefly, the 70% coverage gate, and distribution verification.just testruns the test suite without coverage instrumentation.just testcovwrites the machine-readablecoverage.xmlreport.just buildcreates the wheel and source distribution indist/.just verify-distinstalls both artifacts into isolated environments and runs an API smoke test.just release-check v0.0.7validates a version tag against the built metadata.
The current native profile includes structural assignability for TypedDict schemas and Protocol member shapes, with explicit capability-unknown results for incomplete runtime evidence. See the structural assignability implementation status for the supported boundaries and validation evidence.
Releases are made from protected v<version> tags. GitHub Actions validates both artifacts before
publishing through PyPI Trusted Publishing (OIDC); ordinary branches and manual validation runs do
not publish packages.
