uv-developer
The name is a pun on mr.developer, the zc.buildout extension that solved the same "toggle a dependency to a local checkout while developing" problem for buildout-based projects.
Features

[tool.uv.sources]local path overrides inpyproject.tomlon and off in one command. - Auto-clones a dependency from a
# git clone ...comment the first time you switch it on. - Pin a rarely-used override off with
##so a bulktoggle onnever sweeps it up. checkfails CI or a pre-commit hook if a local/editable path ever reachesuv.lock.

Installation
You can install uv-developer via pip from PyPI:
pip install uv-developer
