Overview
v8x is a Python package that bundles the v8xgo CLI binary for convenient installation via pip or uvx.
Install
pip install v8x
Or run without installing:
uvx v8x --help
Quick Start
- Log in to Vantage:
v8x login
- Create a cloud account for on-premises infrastructure:
v8x cloud account create mydatacenter-west --provider on_prem
- Create a cluster:
v8x cluster create my-cluster \
--app slurm-multipass \
--cloud-account-name mydatacenter-west \
--cluster-type slurm \
--create-team

Architecture
This package is a thin wrapper around the v8xgo Go binary. It contains:
- Zero Python runtime dependencies
- A platform-specific v8xgo binary bundled in the wheel
- An entry point that execs the binary, replacing the Python process
All CLI logic lives in v8xgo.
