ESX command-line interface is a tool that can be used to query or change configuration settings on ESX servers. Commands are distributed in a hierarchy of namespaces.
Run this command to see all esxcli commands supported by an ESX server:
$ esxcli --server=<server-address> esxcli command list
It can also connect through vCenter with vCenter credentials:
$ esxcli --server=<vcenter-server-address> --vihost <esx-host-address> esxcli command list
Example commands:
$ esxcli system version get $ esxcli system time get $ esxcli --version $ esxcli --help
