The next-generation VapourSynth previewer

Installation

Installation

pip install vsview

Prerequisites

• Python: >=3.12
• VapourSynth: R69+

Usage

Once installed, you can launch the previewer using the command line:

vsview

You can also run it with a generic VapourSynth script:

vsview script.vpy

Development

This project uses uv for dependency management and workflow.

uv sync --all-packages
uv run vsview

If you are in an environment where you cannot compile C extensions, remove "src/vspackrgb" from members and comment out the vspackrgb = { workspace = true } line in pyproject.toml before running uv sync to use the pre-compiled version from PyPI.
