Version Compatibility

This package supports the following combinations of Python, Django, and Wagtail versions:

install_requires is intentionally kept wide (Django>=4.2,<6.1, wagtail>=5.2,<8.0) so this plugin doesn't block pip's resolver from picking whatever current Django/Wagtail combination the rest of your project needs. Not every Django/Wagtail pair in that range is compatible with each other though - Wagtail dropped Django 4.2 support as of Wagtail 7.4, and Django 6.0 requires Python 3.12+. Match the pair to Wagtail's own compatible Django/Python table, reproduced here for the versions this plugin has been tested against:

• Wagtail 8.0 is still in development at the time of writing and isn't pinned to yet; once released, bump the upper bound in your own project once you've verified compatibility.

Installation Steps

Step 1 — Install via pip

pip install wagtail-all-in-one-accessibility

Step 2 — Add to INSTALLED_APPS in settings.py

Step 3 — Add the context processor in settings.py

Find the TEMPLATES setting and add to context_processors:

Step 4 — Add the widget script tag to your Wagtail base template

Open your site's base template. This is typically:

• templates/base.html (default Wagtail project template)
• Your custom theme's base.html override

Add this one line just before </body>:

Step 5 — Run migrations and collect static files

Step 6 — Restart the server

Step 7 — Configure in Wagtail Admin

Visit your Wagtail admin and click All in One Accessibility in the sidebar:

http://your-site.com/admin/

Configure widget color, position, icon type, and size, then click Save. Settings are automatically synced to Skynet's platform — the widget picks them up instantly.

Step 8 — Verify on the frontend

Open your site's homepage. The floating accessibility widget should appear in the corner you configured (default: bottom-right).
