SimVX-Physics-Jolt

Jolt Physics as a 3D backend for SimVX. The built-in solver is pure Python; this one is not.

This release is infrastructure, not the engine

SimVX publishes as a set of distributions that install together at one version. This one holds the name for the optional Jolt-backed 3D physics backend; it ships no modules yet.

The engine is in development and its builds go to the project's own index. To install what exists today, start from the simvx distribution, which checks whether this machine has the Vulkan driver the engine needs and pip cannot supply:

pip install simvx && simvx-preflight

Then the engine itself, from that index:

pip install --pre simvx --extra-index-url https://pypi.simvx.com/

Licence

AGPL-3.0-or-later covers the engine. A game-distribution exception then lets you ship your own game under any licence you like, closed source included, at no cost. It has three conditions: that the game display the "Made with SimVX" splash, that it use the engine through its public interfaces, and that changes to the engine itself stay AGPL.
