Description

Typhoon HIL API is library providing programmatic use of Typhoon HIL Control Center software.

It’s mainly used for Hardware In the Loop testing, altough it’s not restricted to this use case only.

Requirements

Typhoon API requires Typhoon HIL Control Center (with an appropriate license) to be installed. For other requirements, they will be automatically installed when you perform installation using pip.

Installation

To install Typhoon HIL API library use:

pip install Typhoon-HIL-API

To install specific version, use:

pip install Typhoon-HIL-API==<desired version>

To upgrade to newest version use:

pip install Typhoon-HIL-API --upgrade

Documentation

Documentation in HTML form can be found in typhoon/docs/html directory, where typhoon directory is in directory where pip installed Typhoon HIL API wheel file, most commonly in lib/site-packages directory of your Python installation.

If you use Typhoon HIL API from virtual environment look into environment directory hierarchy for documentation.

Supported Python versions

Python versions 3.10, 3.11, and 3.12 are supported.
