NOTE: I believe .lnk files are another type of .exe
- lnk file in cmd:
explorer.exe shell:::{4234d49b-0245-4df3-B780-3893943456e1}
- to be able to see lnk properties
- open regedit
- open HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT -> lnkfile
- click on NeverShowExt
- File -> export and save a backup somewhere
- right click and delete
- restart computer
- files directory:
C:\Users\optimus\AppData\Local\Packages\StudioWildcard.17716C21E3D1F_1w2mm55455e38
- saved ark maps:
C:\Users\optimus\AppData\Local\Packages\StudioWildcard.4558480580BB9_1w2mm55455e38\LocalState\Saved\Maps\TheCenter\TheCenterSavedArks
- ini files in local:
C:\Users\optimus\AppData\Local\Packages\StudioWildcard.4558480580BB9_1w2mm55455e38\LocalState\Saved\UWPConfig\UWP
- encrypted files:
C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\StudioWildcard.17716C21E3D1F_1.5.769.2_x64__1w2mm55455e38\Game\AberrantSkin
- to get into the files you have to follow the following:
- Open the folder
C:\ProgramFiles\WindowsApps
- It will not allow you enter but click on the continue
- Click on the link given in the popup called "security tab"
- Click Advance
- Click on Continue
- At the top click on the link called Change
- In the text field called "Enter the object name to select" enter your computer's username. In my case it was "optimus" (don't use Administrator as the name).
- Click on Check Names.
- Click ok.
- Make sure to check the box called "Replace owner on subcontainers and objects"
- EVERYTHING AFTER THIS DOESN'T WORK
- Make sure no windows store apps are running otherwise close them all

- taking control of a file, as administrator cmd enter
takeown /f Path_And_File_Name
- grant admin full access, as administrator cmd enter
icacls Path_And_File_Name /GRANT ADMINISTRATORS:F
- replacing the file, as administrator cmd enter
Copy Source_File Destination
- Open Run by pressing the Windows key + R. In the Run dialog box, type WSReset.exe, and then click on OK. This will resolve the "Windows Store cache may be damaged" error.
- Open the folder
