cuifw
Console User Interface FrameWork The GUI framework for the terminal.
cuifw is what tkinter is for the desktop - but for the terminal.
- GUI widgets: Label, Button, Menu, Panel, Input, Table, Slider, Tabs
- 2D + 3D ASCII rendering: lines, circles, hearts, cubes, spheres, torus
- Dialogs: MessageBox, InputDialog, FileDialog
- Layout: VSTACK, HSTACK, GRID
- Themes: Style, Theme, dark/light
- Events: EventBus, FocusManager
- Keyboard: raw mode, arrows, Enter, Esc, F-keys
- Network: Channel (sockets), Web (HTTP server)
- Process: StartPyCode, KillPyScript, WaitForProcess
Works everywhere Python runs: Linux, macOS, Windows, Android (Pydroid3), SSH, Docker, CI.
Install
pip install cuifw
Quick start
from cuifw import Colors, Render, Canvas, MessageBox
print(Colors.colorize("Hello, world!", Colors.GREEN))
points = Render.get_heart_points(40, 12, size=8, char='@', color=Colors.RED)
Render.DrawPic(points, width=80, height=25)
canvas = Canvas(80, 24)
MessageBox.showinfo(canvas, "Welcome", "Hello, Suleiman!")
