Hessian-based specular reflection detection in endoscopy images

Project description

Overview

This is a Implementation of the glare detection algorithim introduced in the paper titled "A Hessian-Based Technique for Specular Reflection Detection and Inpainting in Colonoscopy Images"

Method

  • HSV conversion
  • S-channel smoothing
  • Hessian eigenvalue analysis
  • Photometric constraints (S, V thresholds)
  • Binary mask output
