FUTEK Device Communication

Python library for communicating with FUTEK devices.

Supported Devices

Currently supported FUTEK device models:

USB225 Pro Elite
USB225 Pro
QIA128
IDC150
IEM100

More device support is coming soon! We are actively working to expand compatibility with additional FUTEK device models.

Getting Started

Requirements

Python Version:

Python 3.11 - 3.14

Supported Platforms:

Windows (x86_64 / 64-bit)
Linux (x86_64 / 64-bit)
Linux (aarch64 / ARM64)

Note: This package includes compiled binaries and is only available for the platforms listed above.

Example Usage

To discover and get device reading.

from futek_device_communication import FutekSerialScanner, USB225SamplingRateEnum

# Discover all FUTEK devices
devices = FutekSerialScanner.discover_devices()
device = devices[0]

reading = device.get_reading()
print(f"Reading: {reading}")

Troubleshooting

Check that the correct COM port is available and not in use by another application
Verify device model matches supported models (USB225, QIA128, IDC150, IEM100)
Platform Requirements:
- Python version must be 3.11 - 3.14
- Supported platforms: Windows x86_64, Linux x86_64, Linux aarch64
