This module provides the Paraguayan chart of accounts and tax configuration for Odoo.

Features

Prerequisites

• Odoo 16.0

• l10n_py_base module installed

• account module (core Odoo)

Installation Steps

1. Copy Module: Place the module in your Odoo addons directory

2. Update Apps List:

   • Go to Apps

   • Click Update Apps List

3. Install Module:

   • Search for “Paraguay - Accounting”

   • Click Install

Post-Installation

After installation:

1. Configure your company’s fiscal data in l10n_py_base

2. Review and adjust chart of accounts if needed

3. Configure tax rates on products

4. Set up accounting journals (install l10n_py_account for extended features)

The module will automatically install required dependencies:

• account

• l10n_py_base

Initial Setup

After installing the module, the Paraguayan chart of accounts will be automatically available.

Tax Configuration

The following taxes are pre-configured:

IVA 10% (Standard Rate)

• Default VAT rate for most goods and services

• Automatically applied unless otherwise specified

IVA 5% (Reduced Rate)

• Applied to specific products and services as defined by SET

• Must be configured manually on products when applicable

Exempt

• For tax-exempt transactions

• Use for products/services not subject to VAT

Chart of Accounts

The module includes a standard Paraguayan chart of accounts structure following SET (Subsecretaría de Estado de Tributación) guidelines.

To customize:

1. Go to Accounting > Configuration > Chart of Accounts

2. Review and adjust accounts as needed for your business

3. Set default accounts in Accounting > Configuration > Settings

Fiscal Positions

Configure fiscal positions based on your customer types:

1. Go to Accounting > Configuration > Fiscal Positions

2. Review pre-configured positions

3. Adjust tax mapping as needed

Setting Up Your Company

1. Navigate to Settings > General Settings > Companies

2. Configure your company information

3. Ensure you have installed l10n_py_base for RUC and fiscal data

Using Taxes

On Sales

• Taxes are automatically calculated based on product configuration

• Default tax is IVA 10% unless otherwise specified

On Purchases

• Set appropriate input taxes on vendor bills

• System supports tax credit calculation

Chart of Accounts

Viewing Accounts

1. Go to Accounting > Configuration > Chart of Accounts

2. Browse available accounts

Creating Journal Entries

1. Go to Accounting > Accounting > Journal Entries

2. Create manual entries using the configured chart of accounts

3. System validates account usage

Reports

Standard Paraguayan accounting reports are available:

• Balance Sheet

• Profit & Loss

• Tax Reports (IVA declarations)
