This module extends the functionality of Stock, Delivery and Fleet to allow you to assign default vehicle in delivery Carriers and Transfers and propagate them to the Batch. Also allow propagate drivers to the Batch and lets auto-batch by vehicle and/or driver.

Use Cases / Context

This module was developed because there is no possibility to assign vehicles in Carriers or Transfers and propagate them to the Batches and Waves.

This is useful if you want to be able to propagate Vehicles or Drivers from the Sale to the Batch and change it when you want.

Configuration

To configure this module, you need to:

  1. Go to Inventory > Configuration > Settings.

  2. Activate Batch, Wave & Cluster Transfers

Usage

Basic configuration

  1. Go to Inventory > Configuration > Settings and activate Dispatch Management System.

  2. Go to Fleet App and create new Vehicle or choose one already created.

  3. Add a Driver and a Category (with weight and volume limits) to the Vehicle.

  4. Go to Inventory > Configuration > Delivery > Delivery Methods.

  5. Create new Delivery Method or choose one already created.

  6. Add a Vehicle to the Delivery Method.

Sale Flow

  1. Go to Sales > Orders > Quotations.

  2. Create new Sale Order with non Service product with Quantity > 1.

  3. Click on Add Shipping button and choose one with a Vehicle.

  4. Confirm Sale Order.

  5. Vehicle was automatically assigned in picking from selected Carrier.

  6. You can change the Vehicle without changing the Carrier.

Stock Flow

  1. Go to Inventory > Operations > Transfers > Deliveries.

  2. Create new Transfer.

  3. Choose a Carrier.

  4. The Vehicle is automatically assigned.

  5. You can change the Vehicle without changing the Carrier.

Batch Flow

  1. Add multiple Transfers that has Vehicles to a Batch.

  2. The Vehicle is selected based on the most repeated in the Transfers.

  3. The Driver is selected based on the most repeated in the Transfers.

Auto Batch Flow

  1. Go to Inventory > Configuration > Operation Types.

  2. Select an operation type.

  3. Activate Automatic Batches.

  4. Choose Vehicle and/or Driver in the batch grouping.

  5. Create and confirm pickings with the same vehicle/driver.

  6. The pickings are batched automatically depends their vehicle/driver.

Known issues / Roadmap

  • Auto waves by vehicle and drivers.
