Trails for Power BI
Follow any field from source to visual, across a whole Power BI workspace.
Trails reads Power BI Project (PBIP / TMDL) files straight from your Git repo and builds one self-contained, offline HTML page: workspace lineage from data sources to semantic models to reports, column-to-visual lineage, model diagrams with masked export, and Best Practice Analyzer and AI-readiness checks.
Nothing leaves your machine: no network calls, no install beyond Python, no admin rights, read-only.
Status: early pre-release. The first public version is on its way.
