UR5 Lab Helper 1.0.1

This package supplies helper.py for the ten UR5 CoppeliaSim lab experiments.

Important before running

  1. Open CoppeliaSim.
  2. Load the correct scene (UR5, and BarrettHand plus objects for pick-and-place labs).
  3. Make sure the ZeroMQ Remote API server is enabled, normally on port 23000.
  4. Run the experiment with the same Python interpreter where this package is installed.

The experiments can continue to use:

from helper import *

No edits to the ten experiment scripts are intended.

Install or update from this folder

python -m pip install --upgrade .

If an older copy is installed, close Python/IDLE/VS Code terminals first, then run the command above in the extracted package folder.

numpy and cv2 are optional imports. If a particular experiment uses either library directly, install it separately.
